About
Aves Early Education: Nurturing Early Learning
Aves Early Education is a Richmond-based childcare and early learning provider serving young children and their families in the community. Its educational approach draws on established early-childhood philosophies, creating thoughtfully planned, engaging experiences for children in a warm and stimulating setting. That focus on a nurturing, carefully considered environment makes the physical space itself an important part of how Aves supports each child’s development.
An Environment Designed for Young Learners
Completed in 2023, this 3,649-square-foot early learning environment in Richmond, British Columbia, was designed around the needs of young children and the educators who guide them. Classroom spaces, purpose-built millwork, and considered lighting work together to create a setting that is welcoming, functional, and supportive of play and learning. Every element was planned with the safety, comfort, and curiosity of children in mind, helping the space feel both practical and inviting. The result is an environment that works as hard for educators as it does for the children in their care.
Cutler’s Role
Cutler was pleased to provide architecture, interior design, and project consulting services for Aves Early Education’s Richmond environment. Bringing together the art and science of architectural design, our team worked collaboratively with the client to create a holistic, people-first space in which no detail was overlooked — from custom millwork to the quality of the lighting. The result is an early learning environment designed to support children, educators, and families alike.
