Michael Hill is a leading international fine jewellery retailer, known for accessible engagement rings, wedding bands, and everyday pieces. Founded in 1979 in Whangarei, New Zealand by Sir Michael Hill and Lady Christine Hill, the company has grown from a single store into a major global brand with locations across New Zealand, Australia, and Canada.
A Canadian Flagship at Yorkdale
Located at Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre, this 895-square-foot boutique marked Michael Hill’s first new flagship design in Canada. A custom large-format storefront anchors the space, opening the boutique to the mall concourse and presenting the brand’s collections within a refined, contemporary retail environment.
Cutler’s Role
Cutler provided interior design and project management for the boutique, delivering schematic design, design development, construction documentation, building permit management, and contract administration. Guiding the project from concept through completion, our team brought Michael Hill’s new flagship concept to life while coordinating the approvals and construction required to deliver it within the Yorkdale environment.
