About
JD Sports: Global Sports-Fashion Retail
JD Sports is a leading global multichannel retailer of sports-fashion, streetwear, and outdoor brands, specializing in athletic footwear, apparel, and accessories from major names like Nike, Adidas, and Jordan, alongside exclusive private labels such as Supply & Demand, Pink Soda, and Hoodrich. Known for limited-edition sneaker releases and a seamless omnichannel experience, JD Sports combines an immersive in-store environment with robust digital and app-based retail.
Expanding the Robson Street Flagship
For JD Sports’ Vancouver flagship on Robson Street, the client needed to expand the store’s footprint. Cutler coordinated a development permit with the City of Vancouver to add a new section to the south side of the building, reconfiguring the site — including the removal of several parking stalls — to accommodate the addition and create the additional retail square footage the brand required.
Cutler’s Role
Cutler provided architecture, interior design, and project management for the project, delivering schematic design, design development, construction documentation, engineering coordination, tender management, and construction administration. From navigating the City of Vancouver development permit through to construction, our team guided the expansion from concept to completion, delivering a larger, fully realized flagship for JD Sports in the heart of downtown Vancouver.
